This is guesses only. Need spell lists, GM approval, all sorts of things...assuming 105 points into magic, +25 points: AstralProjection and AstralPerception + 55 points: Magery 3 normal, Magery to 6 unfocus -10 (effectively, "Aspected Magery: Ritualistic Magery") (No Obvious Effect + Unfocus -4 net cancel cost would be cool, too) -9 points, magic vulnerability -3 (with the tatoos) this is a net 71 points...leaving 34 points for spells. Alternately, make that magery 5 normal + Astral stuff for 85 points, leaving about 20 for spells...make the top two aspected (geasa) for 35 points of spells. Given that loa can just possess people, the "spirit warrior" advantage boils down to "you are aware and have influence when possessed by a specific loa" with possibly some bits about being resistant to banishing. I have no idea what that's worth, but not a huge amount, I'd expect..10 points? 5? maybe 15? Make up most/all of the cost by aspecting another two levels of magery...and you get a very aspected mage. I haven't really got any idea how many points of spells I'll want/need...I can think of at least a dozen spells off the top of my head that I had, and more that I really, really should (if not restricted by powers, there are some things under 'telepathy' that would be real smart to grab at chargen) Need books, and diologue, to figure this out. Also...what to IQ 2, 4, and 6 map to? I thought 6 was the high end of animal intelligence, and 2 was just short of being a rock...are you sure that average attributes of a spirit are 2xforce? 6+force starts them on the bottom of PC range, and takes them to 12s. Watchers, who are supposed to be totally stupid, might be 3+force, the best verging towards average. finally...had 1/2 point in metaplanar projection. Is this just a spell now (I think that's simplest) or does it follow the pattern of the other astral thingies?
Actually, this looks pretty cool, Jesse. What does WIP stand for? Spirit Warrior is mechaniced as "has these weird stats under certain circumstances" — that it's you, changed, there, not your body with a spook possessing it. "Retains consciousness while possessed" is a function of Compartmentalized Mind, a 50 pt advantage. The limitation "only for retaining a compartment while possessed" is probably -30% or so. Spirits don't have human-like intelligence, but yes, most low-force spirits are spirits of rocks, acorns, forest clearing... and not much brighter than their physical tie. They can "talk" sorta — all spirits can. But that doesn't require human-level intellect. And they resist spells with their IQs of 4 or 6 or so. --bts
Prototype spell list (drawing from GurpsMagicSpells, and the CodexArcanum) Note: still scratch space. WIP in fact stands for Work In Progress Will 13, 5 levels of magery means 1 point spells are generally cast at -3 to cost (skill 13 - 2 + 4 = 15, drain resistance 13 + 1 = 14)
I posted twice, sorta, and you three times. Weird. But drain resistance of 14 only averages a one point discount: Each two points of success on this roll reduces the fatigue cost by one. --bts
