A SpiritSpecialization must be taken when purchasing the SpiritPower. It consists of a number of basic spirit templates, usually 5, at a number of different levels of power (see SummonSpirit). Each template should have a general description along the lines of "Fire Elemental," "Nature Spirit of the Land," or "Celestial (Mercury)." When affecting spirits that you have not summoned, they need not fit your template exactly so long as they have the same brief description. When summoning a spirit, an amount of points depending on the power of the spirit can be added to the template. Instead, when the power is taken, the space taken by a single, flexable template can be preplaces with three rigid archetypes. This is usually done to represent the ability to summon a single entity, or small aspect thereof, as in the case of [Voodoo] loa. A houngan often has 12 or 15 loa he can summon, but they are much closer to the same every time. See [Voodoo] and SummonSpirit. As always, consult a GM to make certain that your templates are permissable--certian traits may be required or dissalowed. Adding an additional template (and thus type) to your SpiritSpecialization is a 20% enhancement. Having one fewer template is a 15% limitation. Examples of typical [SpiritSpecialization]s: [Hermetic]s can usually summon Fire Elementals, Water Elementals, Air Elementals, and Earth Elementals. This is a -15% limitation on their spirit power. [Shaman]s can typically summon Spirits of the Land, Spirits of the Waters, Spirits of the Skies, Spirits of Man, and an additional type depending on the shaman (Street [Shaman]s, for example, can often summon two very distinct types of Spirits of Man). Houngans, those who practice [Voodoo], can usually summon about 12 loa and a general class of minor ghosts, or 15 loa. See the individual [Paradigm]s for more information.
