We meditated and did karma rituals, then went out to explore the city some more. We went up one of the towers, sketched out some maps, and observed that the towers had ruined fire cannons and large crossbows. They might be repairable; we need to ask the orcs at some point. Gathered wood and repaired a building a bit, then went back to the cave entrance. We found that a large number of orcs (>700, we think) had struck out on their own, not wishing to be led by adepts. I doubt they'll survive, but I doubt even more that they would appreciate being rescued by us, so we are letting them go. Joan helped out some of the orcs that were interested in breaking horses and learning cavalry tricks. They've got a long way to go... Thwack reappeared, and a heated discussion ensued. We scouted the downed airship; it was clearly beyond repair (by us at least), and nothing much inside was interesting (well, ok, it had an elemental engine, with the elementals long gone, and some long-destroyed fire cannons). We shuttled the orcs out in groups of increasing size. Spent a week and a half resting, healing and meditating as we helped the orcs settle in. Their elementalists set up a water purification system. We then decided to go explore the building with statues of lions in front. The interior was still overrun with living xtal, as we had remembered. E'leia and K'shrik, with a boost from Donk, investigated some of the lower openings high on the walls; long-abandoned birds nests and living crystal was all that was to be seen there. We decended the stairs to the basement. On the second level, we saw a stone spirit thing, dead (decapitated) and overrun with living crystal, coming out of what Steven called "Liferock". He should explain this, because it all confused me. Kudos to everyone for togetherness and civility We all pulled together, and used a lot of diverse talents, and got a lot accomplished. Some people were going to investigate scrolls we had taken, I believe; if they could fill us in on what was in them I'd appreciate it. We need to figure out the pink-bubble thing too; from my dreams it seemed really important, though I must admit to being at a total loss to explain it. I'd like to go back to the statue building as well, to continue investigating that. If we can get a forge going, I think some of us could benefit from weapons and armor as well. We also need to think about whether we want to go back into the Caer soon; there were a number of things left hanging there, as well as things in the dreams that indicated potential problems in the future.
