Tom tells us about the wormskull, and that it's armor is made of earth and stuff. He suggests that fire might help.

We want to talk to one of the news wires, and hopefully get an interview and share our news from Boston. We have some impressive video, and I'd be interested in doing a voice-over if that's possible. We can contact someone ourselves if you like. Advice requested -A'leia Anora O'Shay, Troubadour of the Oracle

(3 weeks to get all the second-circle talents at 1)

Tristain detached the thread from Dargo. Dargo said "It's like there was someone in my head all this time..." So we pluggged an information link.

Reply from Ambassador:

"This is an automated service approximating the Ambassador: here's a letter of introduction to a couple of our reporters. You'll need to find a hook which they can use for the story. It's not in our interests to promote anti-meta racism right now."

How about: "Horror Slayer of the Sixth Age Saves Boston?" Yeah, that's a headline. You want a *hook* -- an angle they can use to sell the story. Like "Orks are evil, local mage-heroes save city" Local heroes are a hook; That's the Bad Guy is a hook. That sort of thing. You *might* want to ask the party... but what they'll need is spin. except without the "Orks are Evil" part Yes, that would be Bad.

We started talking about what kind of spin we wanted to put on the "saving Boston" story... *Wraiths Bad--Chicago Paralell 6th age Wraith Documents (Field Guide) * Local Hero Team rise up to stop it Tristain the badass SpiritWarrior (2nd mission, 1st fight, Evil Spirit vs. Good Mage and Good Loa)

Jonathan began working on video-editing, and suddenly there was a big spell coming towards us. I tried to do something about it, and then I passed out.

I was woken up, and asked what was going on. Koda and I were trying to cast spells, and passed out. Dana woke me up and suddenly a bunch of things were not rememberable.

Email to Sage Tapantasa:

How's this for a hook: Local Heros rise up to fight the evil Wraiths, saving Boston from Chicago's fate? And do you want Tir Taingiere to feature heavily as our backer in this "feature segment"

(His name is Mank Rijnsaterwoude.)

Email from Ambassador:

Sure. Might as well leave the logos on the armor, afterall.

(A while later, Koda says "I'm going off to talk to the ambassador. I'll be back shortly")

Email to reporter:

Hello. My name is A'leia Anora O'Shay, and I'm a member of the Oracle Corporation, who with the help of Tir Taingere Special Forces closed the magical portal that was allowing wraiths into Boston Under. I have video and would be willing to be interviewed if you are interested. Included is a letter of intr oduction from Ambassador Tapantasa of Tir Taingere, and the video that we have from helmet-cameras on our armor. You can contact me at this email address, or at <this cellphone number>

Reply from reporter:

There's very little convincing evidence here; this shows evidence of having been spliced and altered on commercially available hardware. If you can provide corroborating evidence, this is an interesting alternate version to what the National Guard's providing. Given recent events, the patriotic side of things is selling well. Can you provide such evidence?

To him:

There are two policemen and the old woman whom we saved who were eyewitnesses to some of it. The National Guard *did* save the day... from the rioters. But the magic going on underground was the bigger danger--the orks were being controlled and manipulated by the wraiths.

Reply from reporter:

Physical evidence, eyewitness accounts are not terribly useful, especially when we can't find the people. Neither of those cops will agree to interviews on this; we can't find the woman. We have video of the national guard killing the orks who were summoning the wraiths. Further discussion on this topic is politically dangerous, as I'll be traveling into Boston. I'll take this tape under advisement, but can't promise anything without close-in proof. I owe Tapantasa a favor; if you're willing to provide escort, I'm willing to go into Pk St Under with a camera. I'm heading off now; meet me at the Thirsty Scholar in Cambridge tomorrow night at 10 if you're interested.

To him:

We have the armor of that horror and we have a wraith cloak. We're not really willing to endanger them by moving them from where they are now. We might be able to get someone in here to take a look, but that would require some impressive political maneuvering.

To him:

Yeah, sure... can you get in?

You get an automated vacation notice that he's on assignment and will be back next week.

To the Ambassador

I sent the Ambassador email asking for transportation to Boston, and checking on the status of any active warrants on members of the party.

There is a note on the docks that says that there are active warrants out for the bond-breakers (Jonathan and Barton). If they are caught, they will not be offered bail again, as they are considered likely to flee. Jonathan stays behind, so Dana becomes my bodyguard, as Barton is planning to turn himself in.

We got to the docks, and a boat took us to Providence. We rented a car and drove to Boston. Traffic is disgusting because they are stopping and patting down every car. They pass right by A'leia, decide that Dana and her parahunter license are just so cool, and then decide that they'd get into more trouble arresting Dargo than letting him go. Barton, then, turns himself in, which the policeman gets all confused about, and then puts him into jail.

We drive to Boston, at about 3 pm. We decide to go by the somerville building. Windows are broken, looters were obviously through here and took anything not nailed down. The security system is on and recording, the fire department had been here and left, and in the basement.

Alpha Prime went to deal with the mainframe, Dana with her lab, Dargo to the armory (which was really locked) and I went to the rooms.

They are all total messes, with anything valuable missing. I try to clean things that don't look like ritual spaces

Barton: you are in a tank with 3,872 orks. Some of them recognise you, because you recognise them. Some of these were once riding motorcycles

Dargo sat in the bar, and I walked in with Dana. We ordered some food, waited a bit, and after a while, the waiter came over with a drink "from the gentleman over there" . He walks over, introduces himself. and talks to us a bit. I asked to be excused for a moment, and he asked if we were cops. We said no, I went to the restroom and talked to Alpha, who suggested we scout and then meet him later. We arranged to meet him at Cheers at 1:00am, he warned us about the 4 am curfew, and then tripped over himself when A'leia smiled at him.
