greyness swirls around us, the rest of the party starts panicking, someone bounces off the mist, and I am along. Later, you are lying on a stone floor, and Barton and Tom are here. The bricks are cut as arcs of circles, giving the impression of a center somewhere, and we are surrounded by mist. We hear Pillar of carved stone into marshmallow-shaped blocks stacked on one another. There is a round stone set into the floor, with a bronze tile set in the center with a bunch of symbols.

Sometimes temples put the name of the temple or what they are a temple to on stones like this.

Tom asked me to walk back to the pillar, so I tried to. We found a pillar, and noticed that there was a step down to something darker just beyond the ring that has pillars. Barton walked around the ring, and "What we've got here is some sort of religious conflux centered around this mask" Tom and I start following the ring--on each pillar, there is a mask figure * Mask with hand stretched out to a person walking away other hand behind his back * Dancing between trees * Jesters' wand over back, chains around feet * Dancing with fiddle on roof, but bow is wavy daggar (garlan) * Slicing at the strings supporting one end of balance (minbruhe) * Throne with guy with crown, jester dancing on throne kicking off the crown **Altar with plastic mask** * Battle with jester backstabbing (thistoneous) * Iconic representations of weary travelers with the jester preparing to drop a rock on them. *(one per passion) **fill in rest?** When the entire party got to the table, the mask began talking to us. *You're trying something that hasn't been tried in quite a while.* *Not enough to close the eye eyes open all the time Not enough to close the mouth...* *Rising sun burns away mist. Lots of mist now, so no sun. Better be careful--lots of things burn away in rising sun.*

barton: this destination that you've had us brought please tell the reason that you've got

*You have not the strength to bar the door on your own.* *Run around the wheel. abandon dogma, run it over.* *feign would see door barred, or mask would be moved.* *arduous task, take more time than is had now. perhaps for later* (Story: 4th age, horrors started coming, brothers caught outside inbalanced, put a mask on removing one of their number might have been good, maybe not you can't put a passion in a caer, so they're outside when the horrors came none coped particularly well, some better than others at least one was broken into thousands of parts some he hasn't seen some definately a bad idea. He put on the mask--wore a horror on his face taking it off more than his own abilities *Be careful of the mask. still out there* "Who wears the mask?" *"I wear the mask"* *"What does the mask look like?"* < silence> *Before the mist burns off, other things must be burned away* *Yes, take a ride* *Must lock the door before sun rises. Time here is time there.* Tell us where to go or where to be. *No, right. Be what you would be* *Watchers, watching now Must go. Might take mask* Tom picks up the mask. "Thank you" I walked out of the temple towards the sound and found myself near a tree in a muddy-floored jungle. The party reassembled, and Tom started collecting vines. Barton began climbing a tree **"You get the distinct impression, though you don't speak squirrel, that it said "Next one's gonna be a pineapple"" -GM to Barton** Barton reports that the things in the tree are windlings. I walk up to the tree and say "Hello?" I try again in Sperethial "Hello?" "Damn slavers" <twang> An arrow thunked into my arm. Whatever, it's armored. One hit my head. uh oh. * From the Earthdawn book, Windlings don't usually use deadly poisons. This feels like a nausea poison. We keep going, and I remove my armor. Barton is carrying it now and Tom is carrying the dart. The path opens up to a clearing that looks like a wicker village. One building is on fire. Tom goes in, brings out a spear and some rocks. (There are wheel tracks going into the village on a bigger trail)
I got really sick. started puking up blood. Then I passed out.
*Barton confronts the slavers. He throws the captain overboard, calling* **"Mutiny!"** *a whip hits him, causing searing pain* *he shoots the leader, who falls over unconsious* *arrows fly at him* *he shoots one of the bad guys with crossbows* *many of the crossbowmen jump ff the boat* *two overseers with whips whip Barton* *he backs up, back covered in burning pitch* *he aims at the overseer* *three crossbow-overseers jump on him* *they knock him to the deck* *the deck erupts in flames* *he draws his cutlass and tries to cut them* *the tree guys all die, but not before half-unfastening Barton's helmet* *Barton refastens the helmet* *one whip guy runs away* *one has a book, the other has lit a little brazier and is playing with smoke* *Barton kills them, but the fire elemental they were summoning is eating the ship*
*Barton comes back with stuff* *Tom tries to keep A'leia alive* *They pour a booster potion down her throat, and she wakes up*
Tom created a wheelbarrow out of a TL9 axel with two wheels, and put A'leia's armor in it. We tried to walk back into the village back to the windlings but the villagers who had been freed wouldn't let us through. We walked to the river, where the crocodile is eating the bodies A'leia starts freaking, and Tom tries to comfort her, but fails "It's okay... it's a crocodile. Have you ever eaten a steak? It's kinda like that." *A'leia aquires "Militant Vegitarianism" disadvantage* We walk up to a walled city. The gate keeeper won't let us in. "I'm not going to die" <A'leia falls over. She's coughing up blood> *Barton tries to find out what Alpha is and how he's here.* *"I'm a hacker. It's my job to decieve things"* Tom builds a bunch of stuff, including a primitive grapple. A'leia wakes up, feeling much better. I took off my armor and climed up, and then fell through a thatched roof onto a bed with two adults and two children in it. I tried to say "sorry, sorry" in Sperethial, and got screamed at. I ran out, tried to hide, and the man ran out with a pitchfork. He stabbed me, and ow, that hurt. Then, he stabbed me and Barton. I fell off the rope from pain, but Barton grabbed me and vaulted over the wall, and then passed out. I started to put him into his armor and passed out. (health -7)
*Tom build a little motor out of batteries, and gets us partway down the road* (health -6) *Barton wakes up, fixes his armor and pushes me through the village* *The party goes back to the temple* *Vestrial says things about "look both ways before you cross the street"* *and "ghostmasters don't lose their alliances just because they're dead"* Mist blows into the temple, as the mask falls back to the altar. It furls around the three (four?) of us, and we are... **TO BE CONTINUED**
