History
Joan grew up as every Windling did in the Kaer, learning to fly. Joan, however, had particularly bad luck with it. Sometimes, her wings would catch on something, or a rock would fall of the ceiling and hit her, or she would catch a gust of wind and be knocked to the ground. She found out very quickly that the closer to the ground one flew, the less one had to fall. And so she became a calvaryman, and the mount she found, Orleans, she grew to trust much more riding than flying by herself. Living on the ground proved a problem, however, as there are no Windling villages on the floor of the Kaer. She soon found a companion, a nice Ork archer, Gilad, who had many of the same ideals as she did and they ended up sharing a house on the edge of the Ork quarter and went off to do some butt kicking for goodness. Her master is a dwarf calvaryman, who seems to put up with Joan quite well. Joan still has flashbacks of the days when she flew around the Kaer ceiling with the other Windlings and falling horribly, and this troubles her, but her fear of heights and her new companion has kept her relatively close to the ground. She now travels mostly on Orleans and only flies when mounting or when it needs to be done. Because she travels around on her mount all the time, she has become light brown and can easily blend in to Orleans' back if needed. Madness Meters
