Craft -- pick one craft style per dot.  For example: carpentry, blacksmithing, software.

Linguistics -- everybody starts with three languages; each dot of linguistics doubles the number of languages you know.  Each written script counts as a language.  Thus, you know 3*2<sup>N</sup> languages with N dots of Linguistics.
