The party loads all of its prisoners into a wagon and heads off down the road for Camrish. They speak briefly with the Mad Wizard in the tower, float the wagon of prisoners across the river, and decide to camp in the Brithan forest. Wait, that's a bad idea. They push on through the night, heavily guarding the wagon. Tristian invoked Elof to help the Trolls pulling their wagon in good cadence. The Brithan follow the party through the night, howling at each other (noticeably different from the challenge howls last time). They leave at the edge of the forest, at dawn. Halfway out of the forest, one of the prisoners shouts "Now!" and they make a break for it. Half try to distract the party while the other half run for the woods. The party beats them up, none make it away. Near the end of the battle, Thwak shoots a fire arrow up in the air to try to call for help. A handful of barefoot guys in pyjamas show up, ask if the prisoners are Adepts, and on discovering they aren't beat them about the head to knock them out... ... so Keleios smacks one. He does the Trinity-hanging-in-the-air thing, then rapidly kicks her three times in the head. The party helps load her into the wagon with the prisoners. Back at town, Jenna and Tristian leave the cultists (and 500 silvers, enough to ensure that they get cared for and aren't just turned into servants) with the people who were caring for the Mad Mages. The Trolls party through the morning and collapse around noon. The rest of the party goes off to meditate, then falls asleep through the night. The next morning: Jenna, Keleios, and Tristian visit a Nethermancer and ask about the letters which are hiding in Jenna's brain. The party takes a day of meditating stuff up. Jenna learns the language from that slate: she says it's a page of instructions from the Val-Heru to their servants, instructions for tending Dragon eggs and baby Dragons. There are some interesting results regarding how these Val-Heru thought of Elves, Dwarves, Windlings, T'Skrang, and Humans: they'd never heard of Orks or Trolls. The party takes their boat-wagon and floats across the river again. They drive down to the T'Skrang village, encountering tentacles nearly a mile out from the shattered kaer. Tristian carefully stabs one with a knife. It flips out and starts trying to grab him; as the party runs away, they step on four more tentacles, which begin thrashing around and trying to grab the party. Thwak and Keleios get grabbed. The party does really well getting them free: coordination and very little friendly fire. They do see it damage shifting mystic damage a few times. The chopped-off tentacles turn into sludge which Tristian identifies as river mud, from the bottom of a river. The party plans for a while, then Kenisha tries to take a look at them in Astral space... and they look back, and two hundred and fifty of them ogg her. Now she's figured out that they can see in Astral space. She wakes up blind. The party retreats to a safe distance (half a mile) and plans some more. They consider a large robotic lawn mower catapult. [Kenisha] recovers enough to regain her sight. The party camps out here for two days (total elapsed time this run: 16 days, putting the campaign into fall) We break here, as [Tristian] considers sharpened steel chocolate oranges, and [Thwak] starts fooling around with Artillery.
