-30 years
I was born to my mother in father, in boston. My father wasn't around much. He paid for the rent and gave my mother money to buy things, but he spent most of his time out of the house, presumably at his job. My mother was very secluded. When Dana looks back on it, she believes her mother had severe depression.
-21 years
After a long arguement with my mother and after learning she is pregant again, my father goes out for the night and never returns. My mother becomes even more unsocial and depressed.
-20 years
My sister, Koda, is born, we are immediately connected. At once I know she is different. I can feel her thoughts and feelings even before she begins to speak and can locate her with ease, allowing me to know what she wants and where she is. Thus I begin to look after her more and easier than my mother does and can.
-15 years
My mother dies mysteriously one night. The doctors tell us that it was a heart attack, but unbeknowst to them, I saw my mother's body and I know she killed herself. I take over the household, do a work- study program at high school while Koda starts kindergarten.
-13 years
I enter college early and take Koda with me. I earn my undergraduate degree at Tufts. I date Franco Saratelli at MIT off and on through the years, it never worked out but we're good friends now.
-10 years
I go to vetinary school at Umass, working to pay my way through and as ever Koda tagging along. Koda is in 4th grade now. My concentration is in paranormal animals. I meet Fox in this time and we agree to start a business after school, him doing the magical animal control and me doing thing biological vetinary and experiments parts.
-8 years
We move back to boston with Fox and we start our company. Koda starts middle school. Koda helps out now and then and the company is a moderate sucess as we answer calls for animal disturbances and out of control paranormal pets. It is a simple life.
-5 years
We meet Tristian who's following a paranormal being, Koda tries to infiltrate the cult gets kidnapped, we meet the company, and they help get her back. Koda is only 15 at this point. Life only gets more complicated from this point on.
Dana studies biology and animals for their beauty and exoticness. She is always wondering how life works and curious of the new animals the mana level has brought out. Laura is a grad student in a class that Dana was TAing at Tufts a few years ago. She's still in acadamia still researching paranormal animals. Franco is an old boyfriend who is a grandson of the loca mafia head in boston and is a wolf shaman. He still takes Dana out for dinner now and then. William is a local store owner that carries hunting supplies. He and Dana have been hunting for the exotic in what is left of the wilderness together and sometimes they take to the streets of Boston as their hunting territory. Rayanne is an Ork janitor at a local animal shelter whom Dana meet while doing research on unwanted pets in the shelter while in grad school. Dana is very protective of Koda, and sometimes treats her like a daughter instead of a sister. She would take a bullet for Koda. Koda keeps Dana carefree and young while Dana tries to keep Koda out of trouble. Dana takes joy in hunting but only kills animals for medical and research purposes. She will, however, experiment on the while they're alive as long as it won't hurt them. People, however, are not animals and should never be hurt and should never be killed. Dana is an academic, drinks coffee, stays up too late working, and tries to be everything her parents weren't.
