ClimbingClaws are small plasteel claws, inward pointing, that can be implanted in the hands and feel to dramatically increase gripping and climbing capabilities, often accomianied by an increase in hand (or foot) strength (applicable only when gripping...and how often do you grip with your feet?) ClimbingClaws can be used to deal damage in meele, but due to their positioning they are only effective once you already have a grip on the enemy. Extending and retracting climbing claws is a learned reflex. [Tristian L. Goodfellow] has two sets of climbing claws, one in his hands and one in his feet, both alphaware, for a total of 0.96 essence. This has generally been mechaniced as the following set of advantages from GULLIVER: **+20 points: Clinging (25 point advantage, -20% not on perfectly smooth surfaces)** Climbing skill defaults to 16 or DX, whichever is greater. The worst climbing modifier for posture is 1/2 Requires use of all 4 limbs (-4 to skill per limb not used) **+3 points: Manual ST +2** **+12.1 points: Sharp Pinchers (11 points for 2 sets, +10% retractable)** On hands and feet. Gripping damage from hands (and feet, if you can figue out how...) is +2 and cutting. **Total: 35.1 points** for 1 essence and a fairly large chunk of money
