The party starts out opening a package from Germany. It's a letter From Lofwyr, forgiving the party for blowing up several of his research labs, and noting that the party *might* not be total bad guys, given their treatment of the Wormskull and the Rift. If they're interested in a closer alliance, they should call 1-800-SAEDER-KRUPP and mention that. Oh, and he's enclosed a little something they might find useful. This turns out to be an 18" cube of teak with a very thin inner layer of beaten orichalcum. It's got a very good combination lock, and inside is an orichalcum loofa -- several square yards of very fine orichalcum mesh. The party plans to put the mask and fetishes in the box and wrap the Sword in the mesh, and figure they'll be much less detectable that way. The party dismisses dealing with the SilverTech plot, because after all, there was a Wal-Mart there *last* time they checked. Things to deal with: Dana's Thread Astrally Find Mank France -- oh, the coins are probably back in Rome by now. Reinforce HQs Bubba Gump / Lemuria H.E / Thera / Leng, since they're clearly the same thing Fetishes, Sword, Ring, Staff The Tirs Peter Saeder-Krupp Frank's Threadweavers Blackhearts Dreams, Metaplanes, True Elements Disciplines Kianna's Memorial Jobs: $$$$$ That Ork P.I. Spade guy The party decides to send a thank you note to Lofwyr: Greetings also to you, Thank you for your kind gift. We appreciate it and will put it to good use. We would like to apologize for any disruption we caused you and your people, and may be interested in talking to you in the future about issues of mutual concern. Thank you again, A'leia Anora O'Shay, Troubadour of the Oracle, for the Oracle Corporation Having sent that, Barton, Koda, and A'leia drive off to Wal-Mart. Hey, that's not a Wal-Mart, that's SilverTech HQ! Uh oh. So they go to the Burlington Mall Wal-Mart instead. A'leia buys a knife and some cleaning supplies, and Barton buys two axes and a tent. He gets hassled about his attempted purchase of lighter fluid. Koda stays in the parking lot trying to turn invisible. When it becomes clear that none of the trucks will leave so they can be stolen, Barton drives to a yacht club with a power drill. Koda's invisible and flying. She floats over the fence, then notices an Air Elemental sitting on the roof. It sees her too, and *picks up a cell phone and dials 911*. The party books. Meanwhile, Tristian and Dana head over to Park St. and try tracking Mank. His thread goes off to the metaplanes, and Tristian decides to follow it. He ends up searching for a triplicate form in the Ronald McDonald House Charity's bureaucracy, then playing sharing games in an elementary school classroom. He gives himself a Caesarian section, then tries to heal Mom. He follows his Umbilical Thread to his navel, and so contemplates his Navel. He finds the oneness of the universe, and so comes to understand where Mank is. A'leia goes and tells stories in H^2. A' forges an evidence release request and arranges for the party to be near the trucks as they travel from the warehouse to the courthouse. The party claims to be totally impotent without their toychest. Wanh. They lay in ambush anyway. They kill three Corrections Officers, then take the three KO'd ones and the three Freaked ones in the back of a truck. One of the trucks gets blown up/crashed, one is stolen with Alpha and the prisoners, one is stolen with about half the party gear. Dargo kills the prisoners in the back of the truck for resisting and attempting escape. They're lased repeatedly in the forehead. The exact center of the forehead. Alpha gets put into a U-stor-it, and the police are thrown off it's trail by Alpha Prime. Koda freaks and yoinks Jonathan's soul out of his body right before he dies, sticking it into her necklace for safekeeping. The party mucks around with that plot for a while, and arranges for his body to be maintained in a relatively useful state. Meanwhile, Jonathan freaks at being in Koda's necklace. The cops call to say they want to have some of the company over to identify some stolen goods. Barton volunteers to go get stung by the sting. He succeeds in bamboozling the cops for a while... until they show up with photos of Tristian, Jonathan, Dana, and Dargo hijacking the trucks. The cops grab Tom and Dargo and take them "Downtown." Dargo is tempted into taking a slug at a cop, after his hands are chopped off by the monowire cuffs he rips through. The guards brutalize him. Tom and Barton are held for their own protection, but allowed to go if they really want to. Oh, and A'leia flies to Oregon and tells the party she's leaving. There is an APB for the arrest of Tristian, Dana, and John Doe with a Sword and extensive speed enhancements. All of these people are in a DocWagon hospital, looking after Jonathan's body. Quote Log: "Does anyone here have a gun? " -- Barton, party. "I wasn't me! I'm sorry!" -- A'leia "SilverTech and the Cyber-Zombies. Sounds like a band."
