Natural Spellcasting:

 Declare that something is a "problem".  Split up magery between effect and drain resistance (both of which are IQ+{fraction of magery}).  
If the spell needs to be thrown, use either the SpellCasting talent, a spellthrowing skill, a throwing skill, or just IQ.
